Immokalee Casino of Seminole Tribe to Offer Slots on June 5th, 2008

On May 21st, 2008, the Seminole Casino Immokalee facility will be making their initial pull on the brand new Las Vegas-style class III slot machines two weeks from now. Seminole Tribe spokesperson Gary Bitner commented that their Immokalee casino facility will debut hundreds of brand new slot machines on June 5th, 2008. Bitner added that the switch of their slot machines from Class II to Class III slot machines will reel in more games and profits for both the customers and the casino facility.

Back in November 2007, Governor Charlie Crist of Florida and the leaders of the Seminole Tribe have finalized a gaming compact that will give the go signal to the tribe to finalized details in order to offer Class III games like slot machines, blackjack and baccarat.

The gaming agreement, which was enforced during the first quarter of the year, has been challenged by state legislators like House Speaker Marco Rubio who said that Gov. Charlie Crist should have consulted them before deciding on the issue. Gary Bitner commented that they plan to introduce blackjack at their Hollywood Casino establishment by the end of June 2008. He does not expect the Immokalee casino to offer casino table games like blackjack until the end of the year or by 2009.
