Mardi Gras Casino Upgrades to Gaming King Poker Software for Poker Slot Machines

The Mardi Gras Casino is now the sole Florida governed casino establishment that has decided to upgrade to the Game King Poker software by International Gaming Technology. This gives gamers the chance to choose blackjack, poker and keno at $0.25, $0.50 and one dollar variations.

The Game King Poker software by IGT was installed on June 2nd, 2010 on twenty poker slot machines located at the center cage of Mardi Gras Casino's first floor. The casino facility is also modifying ten nickel slot machines with newly upgraded themes.

Some of the games that being added are Queen's Knights (two nickel slot machines), Jungle Wild II, Mystical Dragons, Xerxes, Dean Martin's Wild Party (two nickel slot machines) and Glitz (two nickel slot machines).

Mardi Gras first started in 1934 as the Hollywood Kennel Club. Four years ago, a massive renovation project installed an additional 1,100 slot machines and a poker area to this historic property. In 2008, an additional two hundred slot machines were placed on the 3rd floor balcony of the property.

In November 2009, the Big Easy Poker area was relocated and remodeled. The casino facility is located at 831 North Federal Highway on the corner of Pembroke Road and US-1.

The facility features 1,300 Class III slot machines including the new connected progressive slot machines, video roulette, virtual blackjack, twenty-four hour poker games, live and simulcast greyhound racing and others.
