Bally Technologies To Provide Gulfstream Slots

Bally Technologies is expected to make slot machines available to Gulfstream Park in October, in time for the racino opening of the South Florida track.

Bally Technologies announced on September 12 that it is set to provide 500 touch-screen, Class III machines to Gulfstream.

Further, Bally will provide administrative functions like accounting and casino management, among others, for the racino.

Apart from the initial 500 slot machines, Bally will provide an additional 1,000 machines to Gulfstream in Q1 2007.

For its part, Gulfstream management expressed confidence that Bally will certainly realize its plans for Gulfstream. Paul Micucci, president of Gulfstream Park, has told the media: "We're confident that a combination of games and bonusing technology from Bally will attract players and provide visitors to Gulfstream Park an exciting and entertaining gaming experience."

Micucci stressed, "We conducted a very thorough competitive review of all of the leading systems suppliers and determined that Bally was our preferred vendor."

Meanwhile, Tom Reilly, vice president of eastern region systems sales for Bally, told the media: "I think a package of advanced Bally systems and gaming technology provides a compelling combination for any operator in Florida and beyond."

Bally operates over 345,000 machines across the globe.
