More Casinos in Broward County to Offer Slot Machines

On May 13, 2007, a series of construction is taking place in most of the 7 casinos in Broward County. The majority of the casinos in Broward County also offer slot machines. In Hallandale Beach, the construction for the first part of the Village is in Gulfstream Park.

Just a mile away from Gulfstream Park, the Mardi Gras Racetrack and Gaming Center wants to construct a facility with hotels and different merchandise shops that can be compared to the Galleria Mall located in Fort Lauerdale.

The Dania Jai-Alai Casino is scheduled to open for business by next year. The Boyd Gaming Facility is planning to build a casino and entertainment facility worth $300 million in the 49 acre property that they own. They will also host slot machines for their customers.

Laurence Leeds, the city's director of Community Development, said that the casinos will certainly fast track the development on U.S. 1 and Dania Beach Boulevard.

The remodeled Seminole Coconut Creek Casino is competing with another pari-mutuel slots facility in Broward. The slots facility concerned is the Isle of Capri Casino in Pompano Park Harness Racing Track in Pompano Beach.

The Seminole Tribe, which owns 2 casino facilities in Hollywood, wants to remodel the Coconut Creek Casino into a top class destination resort with a 160,000 gaming space.

The expansion of the Seminole Tribe casino coincides with the expansion of the Coconut Creek's casino expansion project.

The Isle of Capri officials in Pompano Beach plan to build a convention facility, hotels, shopping area and a hotel facility.
