Review of Gambling Laws by UK

UK will be reviewing the present gambling laws of the country.  Offshore companies seem to be concerned about this decision made by Britain. Reforms will be made in the ‘white list’ system this time. Ministers will be looking into the process.

There will be other changes as well on the active licensing of UK’s Gaming Commission.  This includes a major clause on tax imposition for casino operators.

The Finance minister of Antigua, Harold Lovell expressed his view on UK’s decision of reviewing gambling laws. He stated that casino operators operating in the UK market will not face much disturbances due to this review. Workers licensed in White List will fit for a transitional license automatically according to Lovell.

He also stated that the UK government will work closely with Antigua and Barbuda to protect customers’ interests under the new rules. The Financial Services Regulatory commission will work hard on a making a harmonized approach.
