Seminole Immokalee Casino To Offer Class III Slot Machines

On June 12th, 2008, the Seminole Casino in Immokalee, one of the seven casino facilities owned and managed by the Seminole Tribe, hosted a celebration to launch their Class III Las-Vegas style slot machines. The class III slot machines will allow players to play against the casino compared with Class II slot machines where it has a player vs. player gambling format.

By the end of this year, the Seminole Immokalee Casino is also hoping to offer blackjack, baccarat, mini-baccarat, Pai-Gow, Let It Ride Poker, Three Card Poker and other card games. The Immokalee casino may offer more Las Vegas style slot machines if there is a hide demand for the slot machines. There is an ongoing talk of replacing the casino with a resort-style facility like the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Seminole CEO James Allen said that they will immediately announce after they have finished the details. The casino's luck takes a sudden change when Governor Charlie signed a gambling compact with the Seminole Tribe on November 17th, 2007, which allowed the tribe to offer card games and Las Vegas style slot machines. The Seminole Tribe paid a total of $50 million to the state after the gaming compact was approved by the Department of Interior on January and will pay the state at least $100 million annually in gaming profits.

The Seminole Hard Rock casino in Hollywood, Florida was the very first casino facility in Florida to offer slot machines in late January. The Seminole Immokalee casino facility is the fifth establishment to offer the Wheel of Fortune game, Hot Shot, Blazing Sevens and Triple Diamond. These games are classified as Class III games and will allow gamblers to go up against the casino.
